Choose the right admissions route for your child.

Choosing the right school is an important decision for every family. At Trinity Church of England School, Lewisham, we welcome children at different stages of their journey, with our main entry points at Reception and Year 7.

Trinity is an all through school, supporting pupils from Reception to Year 11. Some children begin with us in Reception and continue through the full Trinity journey. Others join us in Year 7 from primary schools across the local area. Families may also apply for an in year place if they are looking to join Trinity outside the normal admissions rounds.

Reception Admissions

For families applying for a Reception place.

Our Reception Admissions page explains how to apply, how to visit the Primary Phase, what children experience in Early Years, and how we support children as they begin school life at Trinity.

Reception is the beginning of the Trinity journey. Children are welcomed into a caring, nurturing and ambitious Primary community where they can grow in confidence, curiosity and belonging.

Secondary Admissions

For families applying for a Year 7 place.

Our Secondary Admissions page explains how to apply for Year 7, how to visit the Secondary Phase, what happens after offer day, and how we support pupils through transition.

Year 7 is an important next step. Pupils join us from Trinity Primary and from many other primary schools. They are supported to settle, build friendships, understand routines and begin Secondary life with confidence.

In year admissions

For families looking for a place outside the normal Reception or Year 7 admissions rounds.

In year admissions are for pupils who need a school place during the school year, or who are looking to move school between Years 1 and 11.

Applications for in year places should be made through Lewisham Council. Families are also welcome to contact the school office if they would like to ask about Trinity, arrange a visit where possible, or understand the next steps.

Admissions Policy and Supplementary Information Form

Families should read the current Admissions Policy before applying.

Some families may also need to complete a Supplementary Information Form. This applies where families are applying under faith based admissions criteria. The Supplementary Information Form is separate from the local authority application and should be returned directly to the school.

A visit gives families the chance to meet staff, see the school in action, ask questions and experience the atmosphere for themselves.
