Welcome from Trinity leadership

Welcome from the Executive Headteacher

Mr D Lucas, Executive Headteacher

Welcome to the Primary Phase at Trinity Church of England School, Lewisham.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and I am delighted that you are considering Trinity. Our vision is to help pupils “live life in all its fullness” (John 10:10), and this sits at the heart of everything we do.

Children typically join us at the age of four, and we take these early years incredibly seriously. Our Primary Phase is warm, nurturing and ambitious, giving children the care, structure and encouragement they need to feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

We place a strong emphasis on communication, reading, number, curiosity and confidence, while also helping pupils develop character, independence and a sense of belonging. As a Church of England school, we are proudly inclusive of families of all faiths and none, united by our shared commitment to kindness, respect and high expectations.

One of Trinity’s great strengths is that children can begin their journey in Reception and continue through to Year 11. From the very beginning, pupils are known, supported and encouraged to grow into confident, capable young people.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child into our Trinity family.

Welcome from the Head of Primary

Ms Amanda Harvey, Head of Primary

Welcome to Trinity Primary.

Our Primary Phase is a warm and purposeful place where children are known, cared for and encouraged to grow. We want every child to feel safe, happy and confident as they begin each day, and we work closely with families to make sure pupils feel supported from the very start.

In Reception and across Primary, we focus on strong relationships, clear routines and rich learning experiences. Children are encouraged to be curious, kind and independent, while building the foundations they need in reading, writing, mathematics, communication and personal development.

As Head of Primary and Head of Year 7, I am also proud of the way Trinity supports children through each stage of their journey. We help pupils grow in confidence throughout Primary and prepare carefully for the move into Secondary, so that transition feels joined up, reassuring and ambitious.

We look forward to welcoming you to Trinity Primary and sharing more about the community, care and learning that shape everyday life here.

Head of Primary and Head of Year 7

Start your child’s Trinity journey

At Trinity Primary, children are welcomed into a caring school community where they are known, supported and encouraged to grow. From the very beginning, we want pupils to feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

Our Primary Phase gives children strong foundations for learning, friendships and confidence. As part of an all through school, pupils begin a journey that can continue from Reception to Year 11, with care, ambition and belonging at every stage.

One school, one journey: children can begin at Trinity in Reception and continue through to Year 11, growing in confidence, character and ambition over time.

The journey into Secondary

Trinity is one school from Reception to Year 11. This means children are supported to grow in confidence, independence and character over time, with the move into Secondary treated as part of a carefully planned journey.

Our transition work helps pupils and families understand what comes next, so children can move into Year 7 feeling known, welcomed and ready for the next stage.

Faith, values and belonging

As a Church of England school, Trinity is rooted in a welcoming and inclusive Christian ethos. Our vision is to help pupils live life in all its fullness.

In Primary, this means creating a community where kindness, respect, curiosity and confidence are part of everyday life. We want children to know that they belong, that they are valued and that they can make a positive contribution to the world around them.
