Monday 6th of March 2023
Trinity Futures 2023 kicked off today with two Trinity Alumni members returning to school. Eunice, a Cambridge graduate and trainee lawyer, and Jayden a qualified electrician, who successfully completed an Electrician Apprenticeship offered their experiences and advice to our Trinity pupils. click for more
The Williams Brothers visited our school for an inspiring talk in the afternoon. read more
This was followed by an ambassador from the Bank of England, who spoke to students about the economy, what the Bank of England does, the wide range of jobs on offer and also share their own career story.
Tuesday, 7th of March 2023
As part of Trinity Futures, our Year 9 pupils attended a Young Enterprise Employability Masterclass. Every pupil took part in a series of group workshops to develop the employability skills that are essential for the world of work. Activities included a CV surgery, a personal branding workshop and learning about their digital footprint. If you want to find out more on these programmes please visit Young Enterprise Education.
Wednesday, 8th of March 2023
As part of Trinity Futures 2023 Careers Week, a spokesperson from the UK Parliament visited Trinity today.
The ambassador gave an engaging and interactive presentation to our year 8 & 9 pupils about the work of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, how decisions made at UK Parliament affect them every day and how they can get their voice heard.
It was interesting for our pupils to learn also about the range of exciting jobs and careers on offer at UK Parliament.
Thursday, 9th of March 2023
This morning two ambassadors from the Civil Service came to speak to students as a part of Trinity Futures. Nicola from the Government Legal Department and Thines from the Department for Work and Pensions talked about the amazing range of jobs on offer at the Civil Service, ranging from IT, catering, logistics, space engineering, creative and even beekeeping. Students were also able to ask the ambassador lots of questions during the lively interactive presentation.
As part of Trinity Futures, a representative from the Metropolitan Police came to Trinity and spoke to our year 7 students about working for the police service and the career opportunities on offer. Students also learned about the police cadet and the range of activities they do including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, parades and activity weekends.
Friday, 10th of March 2023
LFB Design Consultants - Cherry Baillie,a local architect and owner of LaFoucade-Baillie Design Consultants gave a series of workshops to our year 8 students as part of Trinity Futures. She talked about her own career journey, how and why see became an architect and shared her knowledge on how to choose and build as successful career.
2nd week - starting March 13, 2023
Monday, 13th of March 2023
As part of Trinity Futures, an ambassador from Access Creative College visited Trinity to speak to our year 10 students. Access Creative College is a London based college specializing in education and training within the creative industries. Students learned about the courses and subjects available to study, including games art and development, music, media, esports and computing, and how to apply.
Tuesday, 14th of March 2023
Sgt Campbell from the Royal Air Force came to speak to students as part of Trinity Futures. During the engaging presentation students learned about life and career pathways in the RAF and the job roles on offer, including a wide range of RAF apprenticeship opportunities.
Representatives from Alliance Bernstein, a global asset management firm met with our year 10 students. They talked about what the Alliance Bernstein does, the jobs and career pathways within this industry and the employability skills needed for the workplace.
